I would like to be able to transfer my video files to a TV. The NAS does not have an HDMI port, so I'm worried about the playback of these files. I have to be able to transfer my video files to a TV, as the NAS does not have an hdmi port, but I am worried about the playback of these files. I'm not sure if this is a good idea, but I'd like to know if it's a good idea. Thanks

Helpful answer

no problem with DLNA playback, even with 4K sources... the weak point will be the TV rather than the NAS!

If your network isn't too busy, this shouldn't be a problem. And even if it is, this model is capable of transcoding on the fly before transmitting the signal. The fact that it doesn't have an HDMI port surprised me at first, but I've come to realise that this has an impact on the system load (power consumption), the RAM consumed (which is saved for processing) and the price of the hardware (graphics card).
