I would like to connect the boxes to a Samsung TV (one connect box). Is that possible (optical)? Or to put it another way: is this a good idea (not enough space for a soundbar). Need the TV exclusively for gaming

I use the speakers on my PC and also for gaming, but also to listen to music. This is either on the PC or via BlueTooth from my watch or smartphone. As far as your requirements are concerned, it will certainly work with the Samsung TV. Either via copper cable, optical or via BlueTooth, if the TV supports BlueTooth.
