Taking advantage of the existing power grid, they emit THE SAME (electromagnetic NON-ionising) radiation as all the copper cables running through the walls of the house. The Ethernet connection then goes by cable, so there is no wireless signal (also harmless since it is NOT ionising).
The only flaw in the solution may be a slight and temporary disturbance of the TV signal when the light switches are turned on.
