Draytek Vigor167

Question about Draytek Vigor167

I would like to convert my telephone connection to fibre optics. Do I need a fibre optic modem here, which has to be installed before the Draytek Vigor 167 (between the house connection box and Draytek) or is this not necessary? I'm more or less a layman in this field... hence the "stupid" question e.g. https://www.galaxus.de/de/s1/product/telekom-glasfaser-modem-2-router-21427856?supplier=2705624&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Prod_DE_Pmax_Over_Index&campaignid=21183156180&adgroupid=&adid=&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAC7ye-7-S_xdpqmUeywiP4gmlMQt8&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI16yX5YOxhgMV4wsGAB0YQAd5EAQYASABEgKuivD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Do you have fibre to the home? Because then you would need a fibre optic modem and not a VDSL modem like the Vigor (which works excellently, by the way). We have fibre optic up to the distributor, but from there into the house and into the flat there are only copper cables and no corresponding connections. You can quickly tell whether you need a DSL modem or a fibre optic modem by looking at the socket where you have to connect the modem. What helps: simply take a photo of the socket with Google Lens or similar and have it analysed, then you'll quickly know). I'm not an expert either, but I hope I've been able to help you at least a little.
