If I equip it with an i9 11900K, is it possible to output graphics via the HDMI port or is a graphics card still mandatory?

The i9 11900k has an integrated graphics unit, so you don't need a graphics card for image playback (Intel® UHD Graphics 750 supports up to 4096x2160@60Hz on HDMI).
