The CONNECT receives the SONOS WLAN in your home and connects the music playing on it (from your PC, iPhone or the Internet) to an existing amplifier speaker system. So you can listen to Sonos on your old stereo system and don't need extra Sonos speakers. If you want to connect your turntable to the Sonos system, use the input jack on a Sonos speaker with an input. I guess you don't even need the preamp for that.
