Is it also possible to transfer ePubs (preferably borrowed from Onleihe, of course) from the Android phone to the Reader via cable?

Once you have exported your ePub from Android, send it to yourself (without a cable) to your PocketBook email address. Or put the book in PocketBook Dropbox and sync ... or upload it online to your PocketBook Cloud! Forget cables and Adobe Digital Editions with PocketBook! Peter

I haven't tried it, except from laptop to eReader.
But I think it should work without any problems.
