If you buy the PocketBook InkPad 3 Pro from Galaxus, is the e-reader linked to a bookseller shop and the Onleihe app deactivated? Or is PocketBook's own bookshop installed and the Onleihe app pre-installed under Apps, so that you can download books directly to the e-reader via various providers?

In my case, the PB was not bound to a shop, the PB shop was preinstalled and onleihe was directly available as an icon and preinstalled.

I have now had this reader for just under a month and have been very satisfied so far. Yesterday I had to charge the battery for the first time, so I connected the original cable (which I already have 10 times). The Inkpad also shows that the charging process is in action. But nasty surprise in the evening, the charging status is the same as before. Another cable used, same action/reaction. Unfortunately, I had the stupid idea to set the USB to charge only in the settings. Moral of the story: the battery is empty, I can no longer make any changes, and the computer no longer recognises the EBook as external storage. I can't find any suggestions for solving the problem on the Internet. The battery is totally down, so I can't make any factory settings. Thank you for a suggestion for a solution. If no one has a creative idea, I will send the device back.

Contact Pocketbook (Internet link) directly by e-mail. The company is very helpful and will exchange the device if necessary. I am very satisfied with my device. I can't say much about the problem itself. Maybe connect it to the computer and change the setting that way? But you have probably already tried that. But the battery is probably dead. Nevertheless, good luck. The reader is super and inexpensive and has been in use for several hours a day without any problems for about 3 years. Yours sincerely, Hans Mühlemann

Hello! Can I read on this device all the books that I can download as 'ebooks' on popular online shops such as books.ch (except Amazon)? Sorry, probably a stupid question, but I've never had an eReader before.

Hi Jenny. Yes, you can. But I would always recommend downloading the eBooks to your PC and saving them in a directory. This way you are independent of all bookshops and their cloud solutions. The perfect software to manage your books is Calibre. With Calibre, you can easily synchronise the books on your eReader. This way, you are and remain totally independent of any suppliers or manufacturers with ebooks.
