Is it possible to connect to an iPhone and store some iPhone data? Or do I need to buy an additional usb-c lightning bolt cable?

Only a "Micro USB 3.0 to USB-C cable" is included. This does not work with the iPhone. The other problem I see is that the hard drive needs power. Does it get it from the iPhone? At best it needs an adapter.
("lightning bolt" does not exist as far as I know. Either "Lightning" or "Thunderbolt")
