Hi Ron, The DS220+ NAS connects to home network (router) via an Ethernet cable. And you access it via a web browser, so it doesn't depend on type of computer as long as you have an internet browser. I can access my NAS from a Lenovo Desktop as well as from my MacBook Pro. I hope this helps :-)
