Is the air intake on the front panel enough (2 narrow slots) to cool a 3 fan radiator liquid cooler? or should I rather install a smaller aio system (2fans) on top?

These slots are too few, even the pre-mounted fans are more decoration than blowing air into the case. As you mentioned, it is more advisable to mount a 240 AiO on top.
