There is nothing in the German operating instructions. In 2013 I bought an SX260, with which I was very satisfied. In a heavy rain I put it in the pocket of my Goretex rain cover. But it did not survive the condensation. What I have never experienced with my 4 Canons is condensation inside. There is an underwater case for my G7x. My conclusion: the SX620 is at best rainproof to a limited extent and not really waterproof.
