The standard case is waterproof to 10 metres, but I would use the separately available "case" when diving, this is waterproof to 60 metres.

Hello Eric. I tested it without a housing up to 35 metres (without damage). However, you can only operate the camera up to about 9 metres, because below that all the buttons are pressed in by the water pressure.

The gopro Hero 6 is waterproof, but only for a few metres. It's certainly enough for snorkelling, but I wouldn't go further down than 5 metres.
