I can't compare it to previous versions (only own Ultra 2), but confirm that the Wi-Fi is very poor. It seems to me that the wall thickness/structure/number plays more of a role than the distance. I am not aware of any repeaters, unfortunately.

I recently installed 3 Ultra 2 cameras. When it comes to Wi-Fi reception, you notice that the cameras don't have an external antenna and the reception is correspondingly shorter (than with my previous system). Walls and other obstacles are also a decisive factor and I am considering whether to install a repeater or an extender for the WLAN. Nevertheless, the base station on the first floor and the camera on the ground floor are in contact with the 2 outdoor cameras approx. 3m and 8m away (walls!)

I found it very unfortunate that only 1 charging cable is included in the package with 3 cameras. So if you want to operate the cameras on electricity you have to buy 2 additional cables :-(

I also think the magnetic holders are not strong enough, especially for outdoor use. The 3-pack only contains one screw-on holder. Here, too, you have to buy additional holders.
