I have three of them in mesh mode and have always had top performance from day one, even with a normal DSL 200mbit line. However, the biggest advantage is actually the small dimensions, combined with POE power and excellent WLAN performance. The price as such is clearly also a reason, but compared to what others pay for it, the parts are very good even for very ambitious users with a lot of power. However, a switch with POE+ connection is definitely a good idea so that the power supply unit is not always in the way. Please do not connect it normally to a router with four ports. That is counterproductive. Can only recommend the parts. Of course, for fibre optic power with data rates beyond 500Mbit you should spend a little more money, but the question is who is constantly pulling data at full power on a 1Gbit line? You have my blessing if you buy it. If problems arise, I would even help you via remote maintenance.
Absolutely. For best performance, connect to a LAN cable if possible, preferably a PoE switch. The price-performance ratio is very good and WiFi 6 (ax) is also on board. You can't go wrong and the configuration is done in 5 minutes :)
If you are not a network specialist, there is nothing specific to check :-) The only thing I would suggest, if you have a good internet connexion (optical fibre), is to buy a 802.11ax wifi access point. This is the fastest wifi speed.
