Is this box usable on a synology NAS if you plug it into the USB socket on the back of the NAS 5 outside the NAS Volume, rather like a large external drive?

Here is the answer from our responsible department: Unfortunately, it is not possible to connect the hard disk enclosure to a NAS server. The reason is that this hard disk enclosure requires a driver for communication with the hardware/software. The driver cannot be installed on the NAS server.

Only the following hard drives can be connected to a NAS server:

I already have some 3.5 disks available. Do you have any external cases that would be suitable for usb on the Nas?
