If you ask me, you're wrong about this product for an RTX 3080. It would have enough capacity, but as I see it, you need 2x 8-pin connectors for the mentioned card, but this cable offers a 16-pin connector for 40XX cards. So the cable works, but I am not sure if it is the right choice for cards of other generations.
