Is this injector also compatible with the new 2.5GBit Ethernet-capable access points or is one limited to Gigabit?

The specs of the POE injector also have no information about the throughput. This means that the injector may well have no influence at all (apart from power).

I will try this out myself in 1-2 months, depending on the situation.

Hello,
You can use the injector with 2.5GBit capable devices, but the POE injectors from Ubiquiti do not give more than 1Gbit throughput so far.
