The A730 seems to have an mSATA interface in addition to the classic SATA.

Whether it is possible to boot from mSATA would still have to be checked. I assume that it is possible.

It is very unlikely that the HD is connected with mSATA. It is much more likely that the HDD is connected via normal SATA. Therefore, you probably want to buy an SSD with a SATA connection (e.g. this one [Samsung 850 EVO Basic (500GB, 2.5")](https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/samsung-850-evo-basic-500gb-25-ssd-3481917?tagIds=76)).
