Good day. The device works with any sim card, as it does not have a simlock to a fire. I have had the device for some time now. In the context of 5G, there are a few things to consider so that you can enjoy high bandwidths at all. In addition, the complete configuration is currently lost after every firmware update, so you should back it up beforehand so that you don't have to do everything manually again. All in all, I find the product unconvincing at this price, and the software is not yet fully developed. I would not buy the device again with the current knowledge. Unless I was 100% sure that I was close enough to a 5G antenna (less than 600 metres away) and that the cell was only being used to such an extent that I would get more power than on 4G. Because otherwise any 4G LTE router is also sufficient and cheaper.
