My router is in the cellar, connected to the ground and 1st floors via RJ45s running through the walls, but the wifi range is very limited. I need a device that can connect to one of these RJ45s to create a new wifi network on the ground and/or 1st floor. Is this device suitable for my needs or would I need another access point type product, for example? I'm not a network expert and would like to be sure I'm ordering the right product.

The TP-Link RE700X is well suited to your needs for a number of reasons:
## Access Point (AP) Mode
The RE700X can operate in Access Point (AP) mode which allows you to connect the device to an RJ45 port and create a new Wi-Fi access point. This means you can connect the RE700X to one of your RJ45 cables in the walls to amplify and extend your Wi-Fi network to the ground floor and/or first floor.
## Gigabit Ethernet connection
The device has a Gigabit Ethernet port, so you can connect it directly to your wired network and turn that connection into a robust Wi-Fi signal.
## Easy to set up
The RE700X is easy to set up using the TP-Link Tether application, which simplifies the process of setting up and managing your Wi-Fi network.
In short, the TP-Link RE700X meets your needs by allowing you to connect to an RJ45 port and create a new Wi-Fi network, making it unnecessary to buy a separate access point.
