My screws are too big for my motherboard, the diameters don't match, the holes with the threads are smaller than the screws

Which mainboard model do you have? Good advice. Do not tinker. Multilayer PCBs are sensitive.

So I don't understand your problem at all!

Maybe you used the wrong accessories?
Or the cooler doesn't fit Intel MB?!

A few days ago I installed the Pure Rock 2 and the Pure rock 3 LX cooler on two AMD MBs.
The installation went perfectly on an AM4 and the AM5 without any problems!

The Pure Rock 3 is even easier to install, as the crossbar is already pre-mounted! 😊
On the other hand, the 2 makes a slightly better impression visually and in terms of quality.

Did you use the correct assembly bag with the material for your processor socket? It's better to check the assembly instructions again. Just don't choke. It is also possible that a set for your socket is missing.
