Question about Wifi Extension mode: Can the device extend a WLAN in the 5GHz range? The E5786, for example, can use 5GHz Wifi as a hotspot, but only 2.4GJHz in WLAN extension mode.

In my case, only 2.4GHz networks are displayed in Extension Mode, so I assume that 5GHz cannot be "extended".

Yes you can! Under the WLAN settings, make sure to tick the box '5GHz and 2.4GHz' so you can connect to both depending on what is available. And in your devices (e.g. PC, laptop, mobile phone), you have to connect to both networks, so it can alternately switch depending on what's best/available.
