So can I replace my swisscom box with the asus box or how do I see it? Or can I also connect the 2 boxes to have one at the bottom and one at the top? If so, how useful is that?

No, you can't. The ASUS is a router and not a modem.

There is an access point mode but then you better buy an access point from unifi than the asus router. Or you can make a subnet. But then you have double nat (x.x.1.1 and x.x.2.1 below)

I have a UPC modem and the Asus router behind it. You need the Swisscom box in any case: either in normal mode or in briged mode
