The description is a bit confusing, The Gygabite website writes of: Dual Ultra-Fast NVMe PCIe 4.0/3.0 x4 M.2 with Thermal Guard Digitec has written separately. The question is, can I install two M.2 SSDs without additional adapters?

Helpful answer

Yes, you can install two M.2 SSDs. The slot on the top is connected with PCIe 4.0 x4, the one on the bottom runs with either PCIe 3.0 x4 or SATA.

Cankonpc has described it correctly. It is also important to know that only the PCI 4.0 slot has a (very massive) cooler. The one on the back is just so free. It is perfectly adequate for a data grabbing SSD, but if you put the SSD under extreme stress, you will have to find a cooling pad yourself, which can be difficult depending on the case, as it is on the back of the motherboard as mentioned.
