The device is not recognised on my Windows 11 PC. I have tried it with the USB2 cable and the USB-C. The device has power, the CD spins, but it is not recognised by the PC. There is also no new driver for this device on the ASUS homepage. The box says "Windows 11 ready". I don't understand it. What's going on?

Hello bkirsch

There are several options that could solve the problem.
Let's start with this option.

Is the drive listed in the Device Manager? (Shortcut: Press the Windows key and X at the same time).
The ASUS ZenDrive should then actually be listed under "DVD drives" or under the USB ports.

I have included a link that will take you directly to ASUS troubleshooting with CD/DVD drives.
https://www.asus.com/ch-de...

Scroll down within the Windows 11 description until you reach the following menu item: Enable and reinstall drivers in Device Manager.

Follow these steps which may solve your problem.

If the problem persists, please contact us again here.

Good luck

I have a drive production 04.2020. I have a USB A cable for it, the device works and also reads data.
Click on "This PC" in the file manager, the drive should be visible at the top of the window.

Hello

This DVD drive has been working successfully for me for years.
I have never had any problems with device recognition.
I also believe that this is more due to the operating system, W11 sends its regards.

Continued success

Hello little

Perhaps the drive has been given the same drive letter as an existing drive?
Have a look in the disc management when the ZenDrive is connected.
Greetings
