The following question was addressed to the wrong product and refers to the Reolink here (RLC-823A): How does it work with the Ethernet connection: cable from Reolink to computer (Mac) and WLAN from computer to WLAN modem of a provider (Swisscom, Quickline etc.)?

No, the camera is connected to the provider's router or to a switch that is connected to the router. Alternatively, it can also be a PoE switch, in which case the camera does not need a power supply unit. This camera can only be operated with a cable. There are also WLAN cameras from the same manufacturer

It works wonderfully with the Reolink NVR, directly on the iPad via wifi or remote access via the internet (delayed by about 2 seconds) with the app in each case. I use the Reolink Client directly on the Mac.
