The question has actually become superfluous after reading the operating instructions. This device CAN'T RECORD ANYTHING, so it's not a "recorder" in the true sense of the word. Is there a UHD/4K Recorder+Soft

We also do not state that the unit has a recording function. In the specifications it is declared as a "player". "Blu-ray player + recorder" is merely the product category for all Blu-ray players, with and without recording function.
