The reviews say "Does not get extremely hot". Cold enough for a MikroTik 5009 router with passive cooling in the fuse box and currently at approx. 41 degrees?

Mine are a good hand-warm at room temperature. I haven't measured it yet. Will probably also depend on how warm the cards / switch are.

I have three next to each other and they give off a lot of heat.

In my case, the module gets just over 70 degrees when passively cooled.
You can accept that... but then I decided to cool it actively. The module now runs at 45 degrees.

It gets warm but I can still touch it. You may also want to allow a little air circulation in the fuse box.
Otherwise try it out, the worst that can happen is that you send it back in for the guarantee.
