Yes, it should work, we have both (USB-C and USB-A buttons) in use with MAC & WIN on a Barco ClickShare CS-100 (30m).
But you need an adapter to program the USB-C button once - e.g. this Exsys EX-47991 (USB 3.0, 3.70cm)
