Under "Notes", the manual states that the maximum hard disk capacity is 6TB per HDD (as of 10.2014). Is this still the case? I put an 8tb hard drive in and it seems to work, but I haven't written to it yet.

absolutely no problem, i have both enclosures, for 4 disks and for 8 disks, both fully loaded with 8 terra = 32/64 terra. so far not a single problem, only...the fan is always running at maximum power and the start-up times are already relatively heavy with almost 30 seconds...

I used it with 8TB HGST drives. Worked flawlessly.
