We have a gigabit network here (both internal and external - UPC). Can anyone tell me whether the product can really deliver the gigabit throughput? There are many forum entries on the internet, some of which are years old, which massively criticise the throughput (some apparently only get 150 out).

It is also important to note: If you want some security on the network and enable the IPS/IDS function in the Unifi Controller, the throughput will be reduced Extremely

The highest I had ever measured was around 950 Mbit/s.

I have been using the USG 4 Pro for two days. I have replaced an Edgerouter X with it. Conclusion: The speed is fantastic - with UPC I constantly get around 920 Mbit/s to the end devices in the household, and that with DPI active. The Edgerouter stopped at 500 Mbps. In between, I tested an Orbi RBR50 - it still managed 600. The USG 4 Pro is the absolute hammer. Very easy to configure, extremely fast and dual-wan with failover ran in 5 minutes. I can fully recommend it. Only the power consumption is relatively high.

Of course, IDS gnaws away at the preserves, but DPI is enough for me.
