Helpful answer

I think the limit is the size of the memory card. But I can't say exactly, because I have never reached the limit of the camera.

Hello
You need to change a parameter to override the 5 min max recording limit!

To do this
MENU - Settings -
Set [Tmp OFF autotension] to [High].
Warning: Sony warns against overheating the device (read the online user manual).

My experience: with a recording definition of 3840 x 2160 at 25 fps, I was able to record 1h55 on 47.7 GB.

Hello, I only record in 4K. And with a full battery, I can record for more than an hour. With HD, the recording time is longer. But I always have a second battery with me for safety.

Hello,
We would like to inform you that the recording time for the XAVC S HD(1080) file format starts from 5 minutes up to 33 hours. This depends on the capacity of the memory card used.
