Which cable do I use to connect the MC111CS to an MC112CS? The connector is both times SC but I cannot find a SC/SC simplex cable at Digitec :-(

Correct. You need 1x MCS111CS + 1x MCS112CS
Link to manufacturer's page: Product functions

The MC111CS is a media converter designed to convert 100BASE-FX fibre media to 100Base-TX copper media or vice versa. The MC111CS uses WDM and requires only one fibre cable to send and receive data, saving you half the cost of cables. The MC111CS is designed in accordance with the IEEE802.3u 10/100Base-TX standard and the 100Base-FX standard, and is intended for use with single-mode fibre optic cable and the SC connector. The MC111CS supports the long wavelength (LX) laser specification at a forwarding rate equivalent to full bandwidth. It operates at 1550nm when transmitting data and at 1310nm when receiving data. This means that the other end device that is to interoperate with the MC111CS must function at 1310nm when transmitting data and at 1550nm when receiving data. Another media converter from TP-LINK that could work together with the MC111CS would be, for example, the MC112CS (Digitec article 5620444).

A suitable cable would be, for example, Digitus LWL patch cable SC to SC OS2 Singlemode 09/125 um Duplex, length 10m (article 10345947), you take it apart and have 2x 10m ...

At this distance, however, it only makes limited sense to use a media converter... (Another quote from the manufacturer's page: "The MC111CS transmits in fibre-optic long-distance mode using a single-mode fibre-optic cable up to a distance of 20 km.
