Why is an extended warranty offered when buying the Lexar NM790? This lasts up to a total of five years and then costs 24.99 euros. The SSD already has a five-year warranty from the factory. Can someone explain this to me?

The manufacturer's warranty is only offered directly by the manufacturer. The 24 months are correctly stated here.
