The main difference between the SCD953/26 and SCD923/26 lies in the additional functionality. Both offer similar functions such as night vision and digital zoom, but the SCD953/26 includes a full HD camera, 15 soothing sounds and the Baby Monitor+ app for monitoring via smartphone. The SCD953/26 appears to be newer and more comprehensive than the SCD923/26, due to the additional features mentioned. Nevertheless, both models offer a secure connection and good image quality. In terms of operation, both models are designed to provide a stable and secure connection, but the SCD953/26 could be considered better due to its additional functionality.

The parent unit can be used in battery-only mode, while the baby unit must be connected to the mains. Without Wi-Fi, the connection between the units is possible via the internal wireless network, but it is not possible to use the app, which requires Wi-Fi.

1. I would say yes, if you put it in a corner. Otherwise not 180° 2. I think so, but we had to send the device back because it kept crashing

I can't say whether there are other baby units. We use the baby unit with a power bank. Since it has a micro-USB connection, it's relatively easy. Of course, an integrated battery would be desirable.

The pure radio range is not quite as good. In our house (also a solid construction) it is just enough to reach the roof terrace. But the Wi-Fi connection makes it possible to get over it. With the app, you have unlimited range when the camera is connected to the Wi-Fi. This works very well
