The camera does not necessarily have to be connected to the Wi-Fi if you only use the baby monitor with the monitor. The baby monitor offers a direct, non-Wi-Fi connection between the camera and monitor, which is particularly secure and reliable. The Wi-Fi connection is only required if you want to use the Arenti app to control the baby monitor when you are out and about.
