Question about Philips Avent Video & Audio

I have heard about hacker attacks on baby monitors. That's why I'm looking for a baby monitor that is as secure as possible, i.e. without a Wi-Fi network or an app, and that only transmits directly to the corresponding screen. Can anyone confirm that this phone is better (or completely) protected against hacker attacks than one with Wi-Fi?

Helpful answer

Very secure thanks to frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) technology and limited range. Of course, even here there is no 100% security, but a hacker would have to be in the immediate vicinity of the radio and try to intercept the signal with special equipment and cannot try to crack the internet connection from anywhere in the world.

Hello Anonymous. I just realised that my (nnh) comment "with her worry about being hacked" is not very helpful. I'm sorry, I wanted to delete my comment, but unfortunately it's not possible.

WLAN connections are encrypted and with a long password (32 characters and letters) this should not be an obstacle. To protect the home network, you can also set up the guest WLAN explicitly for the baby monitor in the WLAN router. We have the Philip Avent 923/26 (direct connection and/or WLAN) and are very satisfied with it. It is very useful to be able to connect to the camera at any time when you are out of the house.
