Author: Barbara Laban
Barbara Laban studied Sinology and Japanese Studies in Munich, London, and Taipei. After her studies, she worked as a translator, therapist in Chinese medicine, and study director in Munich and Amsterdam. Her children's book debut "In the Sign of the Moon Festival" was awarded the Golden Pick in 2012. Since then, she has been writing books for children and young adults in both German and English. Barbara Laban has been living in London with her husband and two daughters for over fifteen years.

Illustrator: Alessia Trunfio
Alessia Trunfio studied at the International School of Comics in Rome. After graduating, she worked as a background artist for several animation studios before deciding to become a freelance children's book illustrator. She is currently collaborating with the New York illustration agency Astound. Alessia Trunfio has illustrated books for publishers around the world.
