Here are some facts from the manufacturer's website: "Ecopots are 80% made from recycled plastic. Unlike the more common clay fibre pots, plastic pots have the advantage of being impact and splinter resistant, easy to move and extremely resistant to UV light and frost. On top of this, there is another strong argument for using recycled pots: our oceans are slowly but surely becoming a giant plastic soup of discarded plastic bags, fishing nets and PET bottles. Ecopots uses recycled plastics as the material for all our pots and, combined with materials such as recycled natural stone, they give our pots a unique look and feel... At Ecopots we only want to produce high quality pots. To achieve this, we have teamed up with Centexbel, a university plastics laboratory, to develop truly sustainable plastics. We asked Bureau Veritas to test our products. Under the supervision of the Belgian Quality Association, all Ecopots are validated for recycled content and meet the quality standards set by PolyCert Europe. Every year, our certifications are evaluated and renewed to guarantee the best quality".

In terms of diameter, this is the correct matching saucer Ecopots Amsterdam saucer but it is not in the same colour as the flowerpot. The coaster in the matching colour is no longer available in the range. Alternatively, the saucer with 30 cm diameter could be used: Ecopots Amsterdam saucer

I also wanted to buy coasters... These were - at least at that time - not available. I bought the pots anyway and am very satisfied with them. The great thing is the stable (tight!) rubber stud that you can insert in the drain hole or remove. When I take the pots in, I will put the rubber back in. Then you just have to be careful when watering because of waterlogging.
