You can cut the LED strip (every few cm there is a line on the strip that shows where) but you can't connect the power supply cable afterwards. It might be solderable but I can't say for sure.

This should be possible, but the LED strip can only be switched on and off with the smart plugs. All other settings would still have to be controlled with its own app.

Unfortunately no this is not possible because the supplied transformer does not provide enough power and it either breaks all the strips, flickers or only one part lights up.

To reconnect the shortened LED strips to the original, conventional LED 4-pin connectors can be used.

According to the information available to us, the wall plug should be provided. When switched off, the strip itself is white (but offers a panel of ~16 million colours when switched on). Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not specify the number of LEDs per metre.
