Yankee Candle. Mike Kittredge was sitting at home at the kitchen table on a cold December evening. Christmas was approaching, and he had no money to buy his mother a nice gift. He decided to create a unique candle inspired by his creativity. A neighbor saw the candle and wanted it immediately. He sold it and bought new materials to make more candles—one for his mother and one for sale. Thus, the wonderful brand Yankee Candle was born. Instructions for use | Scented candles are very easy to use, but a few factors greatly improve the burning behaviour and safety. Always place the scented candle on a flat surface in a windless place and away from flammable materials. Before lighting, you should also shorten the wick to around 5 mm. To avoid tunnelling, leave the scented candle to burn for at least as long as it takes for the top layer of wax to melt completely. This can take around two hours. However, you should not exceed a burning time of four hours at a time. For optimum burning quality, you should always extinguish the candle with a candle snuffer. |
