The small plate is original in its shape with straight edges. It is suitable for all dishes from appetizers to desserts. After an initial firing of the clay at a low temperature, reactive glazes are applied to the stoneware, giving it a shiny appearance and color gradations. The ceramic pieces are dipped in water after leaving the oven, creating a temperature shock that results in the desired crackle effect.

The inspiration for the MAGMA collection comes from the heart of the volcanic crater of Mount Fuji in Japan. In the cobalt variant, the vein network outlines the crater and reflects the thermal vacuum created by the cooking technique, similar to how magma forms after a volcano melts.
