Product details
The HopfenHöhle utilizes the principle of earth cooling: thanks to the lower temperature in the ground, your beer is kept nicely cool - depending on the location and season, this is a pleasant 8 to 10 degrees Celsius - and it does so in a climate-neutral way, without any electricity consumption. The dark storage of the beer bottles also protects the fresh taste of your beer. All you need for your HopfenHöhle is a small piece of garden and a hole in the ground about 20 cm in diameter and approximately 95 cm deep. You can dig this hole with a soil auger, which is available manually or motorized at well-stocked tool retailers or rental services. However, you can also dig the hole with a spade or shovel. It’s best to choose a shady spot for your HopfenHöhle. Make sure that there are no pipes or cables running underground in your chosen location. Once you have finished digging your hole, you just need to insert the sturdy, thick-walled, and weather-resistant casing pipe. This comes in one piece and does not need to be assembled or screwed together. The pipe has a waterproof bottom that protects against groundwater and pests, and it features a buoyancy safeguard that prevents the HopfenHöhle from being pushed upwards by rising groundwater. After inserting the pipe, slowly fill the surrounding cavity with soil. You should periodically add some water to help settle the soil. This will create a vacuum that, in addition to the buoyancy safeguard, ensures a firm hold in the ground.
Contents: Ø 200 mm casing pipe, bottle holder with stainless steel handle and bottle opener, four-component lid, Snipp-Soccer game.
