Yes, you can also use the Dreame D10 Plus Gen2 without the mopping function and only use it as a robot hoover. The robot is designed so that you can remove the mopping plate, allowing it to work exclusively with the suction function. This allows flexible use, depending on your cleaning needs.

The Dreame D10 Plus Gen2 robot hoover requires a Wi-Fi connection to work with smart functionality. If you do not have a fixed Wi-Fi network at home, you can use your mobile phone as a hotspot to provide a Wi-Fi connection to the robot. However, make sure your mobile phone can support the network traffic needed by the robot and that the connection is stable. The robot only supports the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band, so make sure your hotspot is configured on this frequency.

You can use either method to dispose of the dust and dirt, but the self-emptying base station offers a clear convenience advantage. - The Dreame D10 Plus Gen 2's self-emptying base station can automatically dispose of the vacuumed dirt in a 4-litre dust bag for up to 90 days without any manual effort. - Alternatively, you can empty the robot's dust bin manually after each vacuuming session if you prefer or if this is necessary in certain situations. However, using the self-emptying base station saves considerable time and effort.

Helpful answer

No, the Dreame D10 Plus Gen 2 vacuum-mopping robot cannot be operated without an internet connection. Setting up and using the robot requires an internet connection as many functions, such as app control and configuration of cleaning schedules, are online dependent.

I don't have a staircase, but according to the app, the best practice is to draw a virtual wall in the floor plan. This is very easy and the robot adheres very precisely to guidelines such as no-go zones. It can orientate itself well in the room, so I wouldn't be afraid of stairs. My stone floor feels comfortable. I use distilled water for the mop function and the limescale stains go away so well. Of course, the mop function remains rather superficial. However, I'm very happy in intensive mode. The suction function always works for me.

Even on the manufacturer's website there are no bags listed as compatible... So I ordered these "Roboparts Dust bag for the Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat robot hoover" yesterday. I received them today and I can confirm that they are compatible. They are a bit smaller than the originals but it will do.

As you can see, the new one is labelled Gen2 and can already be ordered, but is not yet available (expected 1 August). It therefore has more power than the soon to be older version. Prices are independent. Prices may change at any time. Only one of the items is currently available to order. The other price will probably fall, but this is not mandatory. You can find out more about the price fluctuations here: https://www.galaxus.ch/de/guide/32 A more expensive item is not always newer or better. That's why I always recommend paying attention to the specifications.
