The LatteGo version is the premium version with a tubeless milk system, cold drinks programmes, quiet operation and convenience functions, while the standard EP5547 is more of a basic version for hot drinks.

Yes, with the Philips 5500 Series EP5547/90 you can easily prepare decaffeinated coffee - either with decaffeinated beans in the bean container or pre-ground coffee using the separate powder function. The machine does not automatically recognise the difference, so simply fill in the desired beans or use powder and start as usual. When changing from normal to decaffeinated beans, we recommend briefly rinsing the grinder.

We work with daily prices, which can be influenced by various factors such as purchasing conditions, stock levels and supply and demand. It is therefore possible that different colour variations may have price differences.

Yes, the Philips 5500 Latte Go () makes it possible to produce not only milk froth, but also pure hot milk for drinks such as Ovaltine or hot chocolate. The LatteGo system can produce silky smooth milk froth, but it can also simply dispense hot milk without frothing it. This can be controlled via the user interface and the appliance's various settings.

No, the Philips 5500 LatteGo with product ID EP5547/90 does not have a separate container for coffee powder. Instead, this fully automatic coffee machine uses a bean tray with a capacity of 0.275 kg and can also process ground coffee, but there is no extra container specifically for coffee powder.

No, the Philips 5500 LatteGo (CH version) with product ID EP5543/80 does not use a separate container for coffee powder. Instead, it is equipped with an integrated bean container that grinds and brews fresh coffee beans. However, there is an option for pre-ground coffee when using the pre-ground function, but this does not require a separate powder container.
