My girlfriend could never get used to this appliance! We bought it after our Duromatic had a defective seal after 25 years of use! We then reordered it from Kuhn-Rikon for CHF 10! Now it will probably run for another 20 years without any problems!!!!!!

Yes, without the steam basket, the pot can be used for cooking food directly in water, not just for steaming. The steamer basket is specifically for steaming, but the pot itself is a stainless steel pressure cooker that is also suitable for cooking directly in water.

The Tefal Secure 5 Neo is compatible with all common hob types, including induction, gas, ceramic, halogen and glass ceramic. There is no specific mention of "ceramic hob" in the information available, but it is unlikely that this term describes a common hob type. The pot can therefore be used on most standard cookers as long as they belong to the categories mentioned.

I don't know. Steam escapes from a pressure cooker (100°), so the temperature reached is always much lower than 240°. Temperatures around 240° are never the area of application for a pressure cooker.

That's easy: look in the customer account under purchases / invoices, there the invoice status should change to "paid" within approx. 2 bank days after the transfer. It doesn't affect me because I make all my purchases by credit card, so there are no reminders. No es schöns Wuchenend and stay healthy!

The water is needed to generate the steam. The amount of potatoes does not matter. One to max 2 dl is enough. For medium-sized potatoes, set the valve all the way to the right. Turn the hob on full power until the pressure relief valve opens, then reduce the power so that only a little pressure escapes and cook for 10 minutes.
