You can decide for yourself when the coffee has steeped enough by simply pressing down the plunger. To serve, just twist off the lid and pour the steaming, aromatic coffee into the cup. The plunger of the coffee maker can be cleaned in the dishwasher, while the carafe should be cleaned by hand.
