7. Alessi Conversational Objects

The idea behind the Conversional Objects series, designed by Virgil Abloh, is that tools assembled in the workshop become a product themselves. The cutlery set is taken out of the workshop and transformed into a tool and instrument for the table and the kitchen. It also becomes a conversation starter in the home environment because it is particularly expressive and its irony encourages conviviality at the table. The special packaging was designed by Studio Temp and celebrates the collaboration between Alessi and Virgil Abloh. The 16-piece cutlery set consists of four spoons, four teaspoons, four forks and four knives made of stainless steel with a matt finish. The set is complemented by a cutlery holder, also made of stainless steel with a matt surface.

8. Alessi Dressed

The place mat Dressed was designed by Marcel Wanders. Traditionally, decorations are always placed on the important and visible parts of an object. Wanders, on the other hand, places them in inconspicuous, slightly hidden places, sometimes even in places that are not normally visible. In Wanders' case, one could therefore speak of an introverted decoration. The very name of the Dressed collection suggests

9. Alessi Santiago

Especially the table knife shows the basic, very straight, almost strict direction of the design, as the blade appears as a continuous extension of the handle. What may be surprising: the feel of Santiago pieces is wonderfully soft and flatters the hands. The cutlery set was designed by David Chipperfield. If you attach importance to present and use striking and often even artistic furnishing accessories in your own four walls, if you want to rely on these design accessories setting trends or if you are looking for real and long-lasting design classics - there is no way around Alessi. The heavyweight in design from Italy has already set so many milestones in the past that you can't count them anymore. Most of them are popular yesterday and today, which makes the Alessi product range even more remarkable and desirable. But as if that was not enough, Alessi shows us again and again with the new collections how tasteful or bold, how new and last but not least how functional good design can be.
