Product details

The Mayhem 3.0 is a completely new template. The trend in modern high-performance shortboards is leaning towards more curve under the back foot for critical surfing in the pocket. We felt the need to develop a fin for this board rocker. We wanted a bit more base, more rake, and a narrower tip than our long-standing thruster template.

The idea with the base and rake is to provide more resistance and bite when diving deep into turns while maintaining drive through tight radii. The reduced tip area with tapered flex allows for more release and freedom for quick transitions in and out of turns. We took this fin for controlled, repeatable testing in wave pools and also collaborated with our crew of elite surfers of various sizes to gather feedback and suggestions.
